Micro-Leads has developed the first Smart Programmable Electrodes to unlock a new class of Smart Implants. Our technology represents the lowest-profile and highest channel count interface to the spinal cord and brain computer interface (BCI) using the fewest wires. Micro-Leads developed the first Smart Programmable Electrodes by using hermetic electronics within each electrode array to provide a scalable access to 64-256 therapeutic electrodes (yet using only a fraction of the wires as conventional devices and BCIs). We have proprietary electronic chips to power, communicate, and multiplex read-write signals into the nervous system.
Shape-memory Smart Implant Electrodes are self-expanding. Self-expanding arrays provide a new minimally-invasive and injectable delivery paradigms by unlocking treatment to a 3-5x larger therapeutic area. Self-expanding electrodes are ultra-low profile and treat peripheral nerves, cranial nerves, and the spinal cord for targeted delivery.
